I can’t believe my little girl is growing up so quickly. Miss J turned 4 and we’ve had a week of celebrations (or so it seems). My little girl, who currently would like to be called Sparkle Power, is outgoing, fearless, confident, funny, sociable and creative. She’s everything a four year old should be – and then some… actually she’s quite cheeky. Miss J, I love you so much. Happy Birthday my sweet, xxx

I’ve still got loads to process, can’t wait to share her birthday party fun…
Oh my what a week…. it started with an amazing visit to a family friend whom I’ve not seen for 20 years. What was really amazing was that I photographed her son as part of my major work for Art in the HSC in 1988 and when I walked in the door, I saw some of the images from that work still hanging on her wall (see below). It really brought home for me the value of photography both as art, but also as a form of documenting our lives. I’m now wondering why it’s taken me twenty years to do this professionally?
I’m so pleased I saw those images, and caught up with a friend. I can’t wait to photograph the grandkids! M xx

Regular visits to our park on the way home from preschool turned into a magical event with the arrival in the post of this “too cute” skirt…

We’re loving our street at the moment. So full of colour, and so many leaves to play with. School pick up time is becoming “cool”…

My kids have never been to a beach and not had a swim so it was a challenge to keep them dry. Thankfully there were some seagulls willing to play with Miss J and Little Man {and they didn’t get wet}
