Back Floating | Sydney Children’s Photographer

It’s been a pretty momentous week in our household as Little Man has been practising the art of back floating…. Last Summer he was an amazingly confident learner-swimmer and since moving to the ‘big’ pool at swimming lessons he’s felt a little less sure of himself.

Over the holidays we swam quite a bit and the pay off shows in his proud little mug… nice one Little Man, well done.

Exhibition | Sydney Children’s Photographer

Earlier this year I went back to school with Jenny Templin to get a few extra skills under my photography belt. I’m a big fan of continuous learning (I can hear my old Fairfax colleagues having a chuckle at this), and I love the challenge of weekly assignments that push boundaries…. great stuff.

Anyway, much to my surprise I had a phone call from Jenny last week letting me know that she was putting together an exhibition of past students work and she’d chosen one of my images {which you might remember from this post}to go into the exhibit. Having never been part of an exhibition before I’m completely over the moon about it.

So, if you’re in or around Leichhardt during August, drop in and check out the exhibition which is sure to be worthwhile. It opens on Saturday August 8 and you can find it here.

Princess Wishes | Sydney Children’s Photographer

I had the pleasure of accompanying some princesses {and princes} to the Sydney production of Disney’s Princess Wishes last week.

It was awesome and captivating as you can see from Princess L’s face. We all enjoyed the show, and even though it cut into Prince Little Man’s sleep time, he managed to see it right through to the end.

Thank you Princess A for your organisational skills ;-)

Sydney Children’s Photography | Day out with Thomas the Tank Engine

We made Little Man’s day yesterday… A day out with Thomas has been on our list for a while, and yesterday we took the {very beautiful} drive to Clarence Station in the Blue Mountains for an experience he certainly won’t forget for a while.

Oh, and Miss J’s day was made complete by the complimentary face painting.

Sydney Baby Photographer | Keepsakes

When I think about each of my clients and what I enjoy most about working with them, not only do I think about the actual photography session, but I’m constantly drawn to the anticipation of my clients receiving their final products.

Not only are the albums and frames keepsakes that they will treasure forever, they’re also the realization of our collaboration and the specific design elements that they’ve chosen to use. I tend to hand deliver the final products because I love seeing their faces when they open the wrapping… it’s one of the best parts of the job.
