Today my brother turns 30… Happy Birthday Trevor.
Given that he’s in London, and I miss him {and you can’t turn 30 without some sort of roast…}I thought I’d share some highlights from our family albums (the one on the left I took with my trusty Hanimex 110, I think the rest are Dad’s).

No Trev, I haven’t finished…
Here’s a couple with our Dad and Sister taken with a point & shoot. Those of you who know me personally, or have followed my blog for a while, know that I’m rarely without a camera, and have always been a happy snapper. I’m still a proud happy snapper {when I’m not working} as it’s these photo’s that back up the memories we make as a family.
Celebrating yet another milestone… Graduation 2004! {I’m over 8 months pregnant in this shot!}

Happy Birthday Trev, I hope this year brings you joy… and all the trimmings.

Recently Miss J took part in her School’s International Day concert. It was her first, and she was sooooo excited. Her class learns French, which she clearly enjoyed dressing the part for.
She *graciously* sat through the other classes songs, lovingly broadcast in Italian, Japanese and German until it was her turn again, and when the microphone was thrust before her, well, I’m sure it took all she had to concentrate on the song at hand, and not break into one of the many songs she’s learnt by heart from Mamma Mia.
With her turn finished, she eagerly searched the crowd for a face that she knew and she met Little Man and Grandma’s adoring gaze and gave them a regal wave… Bless.
Ooh, and the songs… well, we were treated to a number of lovely songs including Marchand de Sable and A la queue leu leu which is quite possibly her favourite!

Remember this gorgeous family… well the other day while Dad went to work, Mum and I got together and played and of course I had my camera, and well, one thing lead to another. We were aiming for more kid shots, particularly of this little beach-going gidget, who, two weeks ago couldn’t quite muster a walk… but look out world, for she can now get to exactly where she wants to be on her own two little pins…

And I can’t show the next lot of images without a special mention of my favourite florist, who also happen to be among the top barista’s in the Inner West and have a lovely selection of gift ideas for all ages… I have them to thank for the hearts, owls and bird cage shown below.

Oh, and one last one. This little guy managed to drop the light sabre long enough for me to snap this one.

I’m sooooo excited to annouce that the Recipe Book I’ve been volunteering for is taking pre-orders…. It’s been a great project, and I was really excited to be a part of the photographic team (as well as wear and old, and well worn hat in the production dept).
It’s aptly named Recipes from the Heart and here’s a couple of my contributions… and remember, if you’re in need of a brilliant cookbook or gift idea for Christmas, it’s never to early to stock up

I’ve been waiting soooo long to share this with you.
Remember this gorgeous couple, Jonathan and Stefanie who flew out from Florida on the holiday of a lifetime and got engaged while they were here? What Stefanie didn’t know at the time was that her v. romantic and gorgeous husband-to-be had asked me to capture “The Proposal”…
The plan was refined over a long series of emails and involved the help of quite a few people. Firstly we needed a decoy, thanks KB! My friend and fellow photographer Jodie, from Jodie Anne Photography… Thanks Jodie for your help. The images you see below without my name are Jodie’s.
You can read all about Jonathan’s story here… but be warned….. have a tissue box handy… this guy is romantic with a capital R.
So now I guess you’re wondering why it’s taken so long to post about the Proposal? Easy… Jonathan set up the whole photographic session so that he could surprise Stefanie with an album for her birthday. Stef’s birthday was yesterday… HAPPY BIRTHDAY Stefanie.
Did I tell you this guy was romantic? Talk about thoughtful. Boys, let this be a lesson to you, if you’re planning something for your girl make it AMAZING… you’ll melt hearts across the globe.
Here’s some images from the day… did I mention we had to hide, and be super sneaky? It was super fun!

Ooh, and Jonathan just told me about this series of images and why Stef started crying all over again…
Jonathan: “She told me she couldn’t wait to tell her Mom and surprise her. I told her that she wouldn’t be very surprised because I asked her permission. She immediately started crying for two reasons. 1) I asked permission, and 2) her Mom kept a secret from her! lol They’re SO close…”
*sigh* you, Jonathan…. you’re good!
