That’s my new name for this little bundle of energy… and she had me wrapped around her little finger.

This little girl is a treasure. She lights up the room with her eyes… and then she smiles…. and well, the world is a better place.
Cheekily though, I couldn’t get too many smiles from her on this day. I’ve seen her practically every day since and she’s bowled me over with her smile and laugh…. go figure!

I really enjoyed spending some time with this family. The kids were full of energy, and ideas, and I think they really enjoyed having a turn taking photos at the end of the session…. M&D really liked the idea of some Black & White images, and this family really suited the style.

Have a great day

There was another party last weekend, this time for our Little Man, who turned 3.

Of course he couldn’t waste an opportunity to dress up.. and so a theme was created. Miss J couldn’t be persuaded to wear a mask, so she opted for something a little more.. feminine. princessy. whimsical.

Her thoughtful gift has had them fighting over the tag reader ever since…

Lots of little man’s friends joined in the celebrations and much fun was had by all.

He was so busted taking a sneaky little look at one of the presents…. this is a look I see often! This was the first party we’ve had that was all for him, which I think was a little overwhelming… he seemed completely amazed that everything was for him, and bless him he was very grateful {I particularly like this one of him opening his present, with the Miss J looking over his shoulder, trying ever so hard not to be green with envy… hee hee}

He was is well made up with the scooter, thanks to his wonderful and generous Aunt’s. I think the smile says it all.

He had a really great day, and I’m ever so thankful to my Mum and our babysitter Steph for keeping everything running so smoothly {and of course JB for his attentiveness and tea & coffee making skills!}. Thanks to everyone who came along to share his day.
Take care

Ros celebrated her 60th birthday in style over the weekend.
Ros had planned her party for a while, and along with just over 30 of her closest friends and family, headed to the incredible Peats Bite on the Hawkesbury River for an elegant evening.
Unfortunately the newest addition to the family was feeling a little under the weather, and her Daddy had to stay at home with her. It didn’t stop this little one from dressing up in her little ruffle skirt though…
After a short water taxi ride to the venue, all the guests enjoyed cocktail hour and each other’s company as well as walk down memory lane with a photographic story board the family had put together. The photos on these boards sparked some great conversations as everyone recalled their memories and shared times with Ros and her family.
I took the opportunity to capture the details that Ros had so meticulously planned. She’d hand-painted the name of each guest on a little pebble. Ros also gave each guest a book that she wanted to share. “A thousand splendid suns” by Khaled Hosseini and she’d designed a bookmark to remember the occasion which my good friend Jodie Vass helped her create.
After a welcoming speech, Ros’s guests sat down to an sumptuous meal. Rod, Tania and Tammy, of Peat’s Bite are amazing hosts, and had put together an amazing menu.

Ros had an inkling the family might be up to something in the entertainment department so when we were treated to a song from her incredibly talented daughter Zoe she jumped up to thank her only to be told to sit back down again. What she hadn’t counted on was a group performance by her husband Phillip, along with Zoe and her husband Troy, and her equally talented daughter Amy. It truly was “unforgettable“, and everyone enjoyed the sentimental tribute to Ros.

Ros, I’m so pleased to have been introduced to you, your family and friends…. Happy Birthday, Mel xox
