Family Love | Sydney Family Photographer

A few weeks back I spent an afternoon with this family and boy they were nice. I often feel blessed doing what I do because I get to meet and connect with so many families and this one left me feeling joyful at the end of our session. I’m so pleased I got to take couple shots of Mum & Dad as well, since they hadn’t had any in such a long time.

Enjoy!

Emily + Seb | Vintage Sydney Wedding

Emily + Seb met by chance while helping their respective friends move in together. Four years later and their friends, Kerryn and Toby returned the favour by being there, as part of the wedding party, to watch Em + Seb get married. The Royal Auto Club of Australia was the venue for this glamorous, vintage inspired evening ceremony.

Emily + Seb created an individual ceremony for themselves, incorporating a traditional Celtic handfasting ceremony, readings by Em’s Dad and Seb’s Mum, and they managed to voice their support for same-sex marriage during the vows;-)It was heartfelt and beautiful, all performed by the gorgeous and energetic celebrant Patty Kikos.

My friend and fellow photographer Lisa Huelin joined me for the evening. Thanks Lisa!

Emily chose to get ready at the Sir Stamford Hotel

I loved that everyone was inspired by the theme that Em + Seb created for their wedding day…

The ceremony was held in the main reception room and around 180 guests joined Em + Seb for the evening…

Six in a Row

Talk about WOW!

It’s funny how things happen… right? Well right about the same time I launched my photography business, two friends from my University days got together to create Six in a Row. They have been so busy wow’ing the Sydney and Canberra Markets with their amazing jewellery that is has taken them until now to launch their web-site. But boy, it was worth the wait.

Check it out, oh, and yep, they’re a commercial client of mine, and I had the opportunity to capture their beautiful workspace along with their pieces a little while back. Go see for yourself and next time they’re at a market near you, get along. Not only do they have amazingly original pieces for women, but their kids line is to die for… it’s worth stocking up the present drawer with these beauties.

Enjoy!

Rachel Richter - I had a look at their website – GORGEOUS!

Dani B - Oh how lovely. Beautiful images of beautiful jewellery.

Melody G - Gorgeous!!!! Looks so funky.

Best of luck for them!

Rana - Ohhhhh nice, I love beads :)

Lucky Mum

In Sydney over the weekend one super lucky Mum received a selection of images, including these ones, of her gorgeous adult children framed for her birthday.

She’s lucky because her daughter had been planning this secret photo session with her three brothers since February (yup.. that’s how long I’ve been in on the plan). One even had to fly back early from a rugby match in Queensland on the day of the session.

She’s lucky because she had her party on Saturday night and this was a complete surprise…

She’s lucky because she has 4 times the love a child has for their Mum. Happy Birthday!

Enjoy!

Jodie - Wow! What a wonderful, surprise and thoughtful gift.
These look gorgeous Mel! Great work xoxo

Karen Pfeiffer - What a beautiful family and what an awesome surprise!!!! Gorgeous work.

gemma higgins - what an awesome birthday!!! lovely shots!
