A few weeks back I spent an afternoon with this family and boy they were nice. I often feel blessed doing what I do because I get to meet and connect with so many families and this one left me feeling joyful at the end of our session. I’m so pleased I got to take couple shots of Mum & Dad as well, since they hadn’t had any in such a long time.

Well, they’ve been engaged for a little while now, and I’m so excited to be their wedding photographer. We recently met up at some locations near where their ceremony is taking place and though it was hot, they managed to look super cool.

Remember this gorgeous couple, Jonathan and Stefanie who flew out from Florida on the holiday of a lifetime and got engaged while they were here? What Stefanie didn’t know at the time was that her v. romantic and gorgeous husband-to-be had asked me to capture “The Proposal”…
The plan was refined over a long series of emails and involved the help of quite a few people. Firstly we needed a decoy, thanks KB! My friend and fellow photographer Jodie, from Jodie Anne Photography… Thanks Jodie for your help. The images you see below without my name are Jodie’s.

So now I guess you’re wondering why it’s taken so long to post about the Proposal? Easy… Jonathan set up the whole photographic session so that he could surprise Stefanie with an album for her birthday. Stef’s birthday was yesterday… HAPPY BIRTHDAY Stefanie.
Did I tell you this guy was romantic? Talk about thoughtful. Boys, let this be a lesson to you, if you’re planning something for your girl make it AMAZING… you’ll melt hearts across the globe.

Ooh, and Jonathan just told me about this series of images and why Stef started crying all over again…
Jonathan: “She told me she couldn’t wait to tell her Mom and surprise her. I told her that she wouldn’t be very surprised because I asked her permission. She immediately started crying for two reasons. 1) I asked permission, and 2) her Mom kept a secret from her! lol They’re SO close…”
*sigh* you, Jonathan…. you’re good!
Let me tell you what I know about Stefanie and Jonathan…. they’re AWESOME. This has to be one of the most *romantic* couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Jonathan & Stefanie are from Orlando, Florida and he got in touch to let me in on a little secret… He and girlfriend Stefanie were about to take the trip of a lifetime to Sydney, Australia and he was planning to ask Stefanie to marry him. To top if off, he wanted to organise an additional surprise of an engagement session here in Sydney, so that they would have some super-cool images to remember their time here.
Jonathan proposed to Stefanie, just last week, at Mrs Macquaries Chair – it’s gorgeous and the most romantic little place in Sydney {just ask Jonathan it’s history… he knows the story and told Stef all about it just before proposed!}. Once Stef found out about the photography session, she was all in and we dragged her heels all over Sydney town looking for cool places to shoot. This is but a small sample of our day… yep we spent the entire day together, and Stef ROCKED… pun intended 
She was all ready to get into the groove and it wasn’t long before the creative juices started flowing… we have similar interests in doorways and architectural features so everytime I spotted something, she was all over it….and Jonathan I think you made this girls day!
Jonathan & Stefanie, it was great spending the day with you… glad you like the Yum Cha…. pity I couldn’t convince you to try the Vegemite!
